Guest Artist - Asha Dangol:

Short Resume
Asha Dangol completed his Master’s in Fine Arts (MFA) from Tribhuvan University and Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts (BFA) from Fine Arts College, Kathmandu. He is the co-founder of Kasthamandap Artists Group and E-Arts Nepal. A multidisciplinary artist, Asha has been practicing and creating arts and paintings and has been exhibiting his artworks since 1992. He has had 14 solo exhibitions and one retrospective show in Nepal and has been exhibited in different countries. He collaborates with sculptors, musician, poets and photographers, experimenting with mixed media, installation, painting, ceramics, performance and interactive artworks to convey his ideas. He has participated in national and international art camps, workshops and residency programs. He is the coordinator for the Himalayan Art Camp and Himalayan Art Festival organized by E-Arts Nepal.

He has been awarded by ‘Arniko Youth Award 2003’, ‘Best Prize - National Film Festival 2005’, ‘First Prize National Art Exhibition, Nepal Association of Fine Arts 2006’, ‘Special Regional Award - National Art Exhibition, Nepal Academy of Fine Arts-2013’ and NAC Travel Grant 2015 & 2016 from Nepal Art Council. He holds the responsibility of Treasurer in ‘Prashanta Memorial Society’ and Coordinator for Artist-in-Residence, Jomsom. He also contributes short article on SPACES magazine on Nepali contemporary arts and artists.

His works have been collected by Ministry of Foreign Affairs-Nepal, Embassy of India-Nepal, Nepal Art Council, Himalayan Bank, Nepal Investment Bank, Sunrise Bank, Radisson Hotel, Hotel Kutumba, Agni Group, Chaudhary Group, Fulbari Resort, Civil Group, Ghalia Art Foundation-Kenya, Andaman Art Museum-Thailand, Vertical Gallery-Thailand, Flamingo Group-Vietnam, Sasaran Art Museum-Malaysia, Chautara Gallery-Holland, D.P. Dhar Memorial Trust-India, Vishnu Manchu Art Foundation-India, Kalakriti Art Gallery-India, and private collection in Nepal and abroad.

He has traveled in USA, Thailand, Sri Lanka, India, Bhutan, Bangladesh, France, Italy, Germany, Malaysia, Indonesia, Netherlands, China and Vietnam. He lives and works in Kathmandu. His works can be seen at www.asha-erina.com or www.eartsnepal.com.
