Artist of the Issue: Dhan Bahadur Yakha
Dhan Bahadur Yakha was born in 1976 in Belbari – 10, Morang Nepal and completed B.Ed. from T.U.,Master's Degree in Fine Arts (M.F.A) Central Dept. of Fine Arts, Kritipur T.U. He is recognized Painter and Sculptor of Nepal. He has participated in over six dozen group Exhibition Nepal and has two solo Exhibitions . In addition he has also exhibited his work internationally in countries like China, India, Japan, Maldives, Bangladesh, South Korea, U.s.a, Australia and Lithuania. SAARC artist camp Maldives, 13th Asian Culture Forum China, Asian Art Biennale Dhaka. Nepalese Art Exhibition, Catholic Univercity Austrailia, Namaste-Embracing Cultures, Nepal America Art Exhibition, Nepal Korea International Art & Letraiture festival, Exchibition Kathmandu,2017 Korea – Nepal International Art Exchange Exhibition ‘Draw the Himalayas’ The XXIII International Art Workshop (Plain Air) in NIDA, Lithuania. He has been awarded in many occasion including Araniko Art Prize with Gold Medal-2065. Dhankuta Pratibha Puraskar-2070 . He is Member of CAAN & Artist Society of Nepal. He is President of Kirat Fine Art Society. His works have been hughely installed National and abroad. Currently, He is the Council Member and Head of Sculpture Department of Nepal Academy of Fine Arts.
