Though my heart hesitates and refuses
some songs of glory
are willing to exude
from the very core of my heart
though my heart hesitates and refuses
will of my heart writes the song
responsibilities of my life creates the hesitation
many of such wills are trampled on
and left dead by the responsibilities
when empty stomach of days
strikes the fading memories of my heart
my heart doesnot sing then
because its weak
it hasnot slept for nights
nor has it eaten for days
so my heart is still empty with hunger
but sometimes i do hear the songs
songs of happiness and glory
and then my today leaves few drops of tears in my eyes
and tries to figure out
when could i sing and laugh
like most of others do
when could i live with freedom
like others do
some songs of glory
are willing to exude
from the very core of my heart
though my heart hesitates and refuses
