She accepts this human existence a beautiful gift of creations and devotes this life of a dream of mined fort to that of spiritual vaccum with the metaphor of literary enterprises. Her devotion in literature whispers in the melody of poems which are strictly balanced with the echoes of physical and metaphysical orchestra. Usha Sherchan is the name of that poetic person whose psyche renders the beauty of literature in different notation.
Poet Usha Sherchan expresses her painful signs watching how the demons of one's own self demystify this beautiful life. She has the strong opinion that poetry is the eclectic genre which speak the human sentiments through words, which include the whole existence in its images. Her literary journey was traced after the publication of her poem 'Zindagi' (Life) in 2035 B.S. in the 'Gorkhapatra' daily. Her three books have been published till the date. Among them:

- Aksharharuko Shivirbata (From the camps of words): Anthology of short-poems (2056 BS)
- Sarvakalin Peeda ra Jagritika Shankhaghosh (Immortal Grief and the Decree of Awakening): Anthology of Poems (2062 BS)
She has also penned her feelings into songs successfully. Till the date her album like 'Abhipsa'- 2058 BS, 'Sanchayan'- 2059 BS and 'Mero Mato Mero Geet'- 2060 BS have so far not the market.
Her creations boldly satire on the social absurdity. Her songs speak the hidden treasure of love and separation, solitude whispers and agony. She says- "Actually I create my literature not only out of my personal feelings, but I call the silent sufferings and pains of people around me and my environment. That's why I don't believe unlike others that for writing only writers' experience is pretty enough." Two students of M.A. Nepali wings have prepared a thesis on her works. "Life of Usha Sherchan, her personality and creations" by Prabha Kumari Baral and." The Analysis of the poems of Usha Sherchan by Sita Devi were the presentation of thesis. Both paper were prepared in the year 2060 BS. This shows the increasing height of Usha Sherchan in the Nepali litereature.
The lyricist and poet Usha Sherchan was born on Bhadra 6, 2012 BS in Pokhara. She was the second child of her father Jhapat Bahadur Bhattachan and mother Yaam Kumari Bhattachan. She completed her S.L.C. from Multipurpose National High School, Pokhara, Intermediate from Ratna Rajya Laxmi Campus, Kathmandu and Bachelor's degree from Prithvi Narayan Campus, Pokhara. She got married on Falgun 20, 2038 BS with D.B. Sherchan. She has a daughter Aastha and a son Astik. Her received her artistic talent elusing early childhood as her grandfather Bhim Bahadur Bhattachan was an acute devotee of Sitar and Tabala. Her father himself was an artist and a great fan of arts and literature whereas her mother Yamm Kumari Bhattachan was a perfect story teller. Her brother and sister are too artists.
She is moreover concerned about the re-birth and associate her living a blissful in accordance with the relationship of truth which is imported in her poems. She agrees that the death is the next door neighbour of life which frequently visit us reminding us the virtue of our living. Physical death, that's why is not an option as the accepts her life remains in the pages of her creations. Yet she is not totally satisfied with her writing as there are many unanswered questions of existence which should be penciled in her poetry and songs.

Apart from literary creation she is involved in various literary organizations like Pokhareli Yuwa Sanskritik Pariwar (Former Vice President, now life member), Gunjan (General Secretary), Koilidevi Sangeetkosh (Treasurer), Narayan Gopal Sangeet Kosh (Treasurer), Naari Sahitya Pratisthan (Patron) and Nepali Kala Sahitya Dot Com Pratishtahn (Patron) to name few. She is the editor of the Gunjan's yearly journal, Kalljayee Swarhary, Beyond the frontiers (Women's stories from Nepal) etc. She has received a member of litereray prizes, medals and honour from various orgznizations such as Vyathit Kavya Puraskar (2043 BS), Lokpriya Puraskar (2057 BS), Parijaat Rastirya Pratibha Puraskar (2057 BS), Ratna Shree Suvarna Padak (2040 BS), Kavita Mahotsav Padak (2045 BS), Birendra Aishwarya Sewa padak (2058 BS), Bhupi Smriti Samman Padak (2057 BS), Pokhareli Didi Bahini Samman (2057 BS), Pratibha Samman (2059 BS) and Rastriya Shanit Samman (2061 BS).
Usha Sherchan expresses her idea on literature that literature as far as its voice concerns is written fro the self attainment and opines if philosophy enterprises in it, then literature becomes the total existence of creation. Although unattached in any political establishment she has the feeling that politics does matter.
This poet loves to write during her solitary session. Solitude is the blissful moment for her where she ventures her existence on untrodden path and beyond global horizons. Her heart booms in spring season and dances in the Autumn. Hers is the colour of Green and she is always attracted by the natural grandeur of sunrise and sunset. She accepts love as a sweet pain. One's chemistry doesn't necessarily compliments with other is the hidden motto of Usha. writers like Sarubhakta, Prakat Pageni, Tirtha Shrestha, Vijaya Bajimaya among other are her good friends who make frequent visit in a coffee gatherings.
Her mantra is quite clear. She opines that there should be fair equilibrium of logics and arts in literature. In her opinion the post-modernism cannot be exerted in to any branches of 'Tree' because it was an unending process. Where there's a consciousness of truth, where the human endeavour propagate and construe the truth from different focal angle, that is the pos-modernism, as Usha Sherchan.
She has the hobby of travelling. She has travelled the USA, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, Hongkong, Thailand, Norway, India, Denmark, France, Belgium, German, Austria, Italy, Sweden etc. She thinks literature, art and culture are the medium to spread the country's glory abroad. She says- "Art, literature and culture are our national heritage and it's the duty of every Nepali to preserve them."
